Xavier Legette has been a social media darling.

The first-round selection of the Carolina Panthers has gone viral several times over for his Mullins, South Carolina, accent.

Recently, Panthers head coach Dave Canales gave an interesting take on Legette's accent, claiming catching on to how the star wide receiver spoke came easy.

“I’m from L.A.,” Canales explained on WFNZ’s Mac & Bone on Tuesday. "I’m used to hearing a lot of different accents, different languages, all that stuff... I just think Xavier also lays it on pretty thick depending on the audience. He’s got a real sense of who he’s talking to.”

Legette has enjoyed a bit of the attention he has received for his famed accent. Every time a camera is on him, he is smiling. That is for good reason.

Legette is one of the most liked rookies in the NFL. If he combines his genuineness with on-field production, there won't be a sole in the league who can say a single bad thing about the wide receiver out of South Carolina.
